2020 Chevy Colorado Review
Looking for a new truck? A midsize pickup, like the 2020 Chevy Colorado, can give you the capability to tow and haul gear around New Castle while also having a relaxed and easy drive around WILMINGTON and Newark.
See what this truck is capable of and the different ways it can fit your needs with this 2020 Chevy Colorado review our team here at Winner Chevrolet of Wilmington has made for you.
Chevy Colorado Towing Capacity
The 2020 Colorado has three engine options, with each one delivering powerful capabilities.
With the standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, which produces 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque, the Chevrolet Colorado can tow along 3,500 pounds. This will let you load up your trailer or even pull along a camper or boat, depending on the size.
If you have heavier equipment to tow with your new truck, you can power the Colorado with either the available 3.6L V6 engine or the available 2.8L Duramax® turbo-diesel engine.
The available 3.6L V6 engine gives this truck a towing capacity of 7,000 pounds thanks to its ability to create 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The available 2.8L Duramax® turbo-diesel engine churns out 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque to give the 2020 Chevy Colorado a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds.
Configure Your Truck to Your Specific Needs
Beyond various trim levels to choose among, you also have the option between two different cab configurations and two bed lengths.
Both the Extended Cab and Crew Cab give you a lot of room to comfortably enjoy your drive with 41.4 inches of headroom and 45 inches of legroom supplied to the front seats.
If you plan on driving around with friends and family in your truck, the Crew Cab can seat five people thanks to its spacious second row. If your truck will be mostly used to carry a range of supplies and gear around, the long bed will provide you with 49.9 cubic feet of cargo volume. Plus, with a length of 74 inches, the long bed will be able to fit longer gear or supplies safely in the back of the 2020 Colorado.
The Benefit of a Midsize Truck
The advantage of a midsize truck is you still gain the utility that comes with the body type, like the cargo space and towing capacity highlighted above. However, you also get easy handling and efficient performance thanks to its smaller stature. The 2020 Chevy Colorado can conserve fuel when riding around the city or cruising on 95. At its best, this truck’s fuel economy reaches an EPA-estimated 20 city/30 highway MPG.
The Chevy Colorado also comes at a great size, allowing you to maneuver with ease around the area. It has a length no longer than 224.9 inches, width of 74.3 inches, and height slightly over 70 inches. This means driving around corners or trying to park along the street will be an easier feat in the Colorado compared to bigger and bulkier trucks.
