Performance
The Chevy Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds when you opt for the available trailering package, giving you the freedom to transport the cargo you need for the journey ahead.
This SUV comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that, together, provide up to 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque.
With a cool feature known as Driver Mode Selector, you have some options for how your vehicle will drive out on the road. Using a dial, you can toggle back and forth between different modes—like Front-Wheel Drive, All-Wheel Drive, Off-Road, and Tow/Haul—to meet you where you’re at.
In terms of fuel economy, this SUV can get you an EPA-estimated 18 city and 27 highway MPG, so you’ll be able to cruise confidently to your next destination.
Interior
You can fit up to eight people in your Chevy Traverse, and there are plenty of interior amenities to keep everyone comfortable.
Optional heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, along with a standard tri-zone automatic climate control system, combine to produce an optimal interior temperature for wherever you may be traveling to.
To keep the trip fun and exciting, your Traverse will come with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System, with options to upgrade to the Plus or Premium setup. With this, you’ll get either a 7- or optional 8-inch touchscreen that will offer access to different technology.
This tech includes compatibility with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ as well as Bluetooth® audio streaming for two phones.
Trim Levels
Numerous trim levels are available and will each provide more upgraded features as you move up the line. They include:

- LS
- LT Cloth
- LT Leather
- RS
- Premier
- High Country
The base trim and its upgraded counterpart, known as the L and LS, are where you’ll enjoy the 7-inch touchscreen. Other features include Keyless Open in which you only have to have your key fob in hand to lock and unlock your doors.
Moving up to the LT, you’ll now be able to enjoy an 8-way power driver’s seat. It comes with premium cloth seat lining that’s offered in Gray or Black as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
With a similar name, the LT Leather trim hints at the other type of upholstery available. With this trim, you’ll be able to sit comfortably in leather-lined seats. It, too, features the same leather-wrapped steering wheel. If you opt for the RS trim, the steering wheel comes standard with automatic heating for an upscale, premium feel.
The Premier and High Country trims reach the highest levels of comfort. In addition to the heated features mentioned earlier, you can heat the second row of your vehicle to provide back-seat passengers with this comfort. Plus, you’ll also be able to charge your devices wirelessly when you choose either of these trims.
